Longtime Traveller Mailing List contributor Douglas E. Berry (usually simply Doug Berry) wrote the GURPS Traveller supplement GURPS Traveller: Ground Forces, co-authored At Close Quarters for BITS with James Lindsay and has contributed to multiple Traveller products.

Prior to his work in the Traveller community, Doug served in the US Army Infantry in a variety of assignments. Doug is perhaps best known for introducing penguins into Traveller canon.
