Murada 2T Grav Tank

Built for The Last Line on Murada (world), and fitted with a radically sloped chassis and turret front for better armor protection. There is not enough room to carry troops, so this design evolved into a laser grav tank. The current target acquisition RADAR is not sufficient for the TAC missile upgrade. A new RADAR is being developed to allow the increased range of the missiles to be used to their fullest potential. Currently, the tactical procedure is for one tank in the platoon to push forward as a spotter and the rest hang back at max range and lob a missile barrage at enemy units as they are spotted. RADAR jamming continues to be a problem. The ECM was recently added. It is used to provide some protection against enemy homing missiles, after some disastrous battlefield encounters with enemy hunter-killer teams. The laser input was kept modest, so as not to negatively impact the speed too much. The weapon is calibrated for low energy spotting out to the limits of the RADAR. It can be used to guide missiles and specially equipped artillery rounds.

The vehicle has a crew of three (driver, gunner and commander). It carries a single lens pulse laser in a fully stabilized turret on the chassis deck.

The vehicle is equipped with a full avionics TL A suite.

Power / Equipment:

Power: 18 megawatt fusion power plant

consumes 27 liters of fuel/ hour; fuel capacity 4,501.514 liters, enough for 6.9 days.

Turret Mounted Weapons:

The single lens pulse laser has batteries for a 13.34 megawatt input. It has TL A direct fire control and can engage a single target per phase. It has a +3 signature when it fires and is fully stabilized.

The Grav Tank has five tactical missile launch rails on the sides of the turret.

The 130kg missiles are armed with a HEAP (High Explosive Armor Piercing) warhead capable of penetration 57.
