Durgaarur is a high-population world with a billion or more sophonts in population size. Government control of this world is by an external military force. This is a high technology world with available technology over the standards for Charted Space. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Sapphyre Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Durgaarur, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and the fiefdom of a count. Both are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Durgaarur.
Astrography and Planetology[edit]
Durgaarur is a member of the Dagudashaag Main.
Stellar Data[edit]
History and Background[edit]
Durgaarur was once the industrial hub of the region, a massive exporter of natural and processed ores, and an abundant source of sapphires. Now very much in decline, the world survives as a center of technical excellence. Durgaarur produces a large number of minerologists, geologists, geophysicists, and mining technicians from the Mineral Sciences Institute. The institute has been set up in conjunction with the IISS geophysical sciences and survey branch.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Durgaarur has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
Durgaarur has a population of 20,000,000,000 sophonts (tens of billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
World Economy[edit]
Many mineral extraction companies which originated here have now moved further afield to remain in business. These companies include Kahramet.
