Pijo is a Solomani Confederation world located in Regulus Subsector of Alpha Crucis Sector. It contains a significant population of uplifted apes.
Pijo is still ruled by a monarchy established in the Long Night, even after the rise of the Solomani Movement. Pijo also has a large population of uplifted apes and almost every well-to-do Solomani family on Pijo employs one as a groundskeeper, laborer, or servant. The uplifted apes even have an elite Lifeguard regiment within the Pijo Home Guard.
