The Chamaxi of Chamax (Foreven 3229) are a space-faring Minor Non-Human Race with a Non-humanoid appearance.
Description (Specifications)
Chamaxi are omnivores evolved from forest gatherer/scavengers. Superficially, they resemble gigantic tarantulas.
Their Quick NIL Profile is CHA-B-LLLL-SDSITK-223222-240 Chamaxi.
Language & Letters (Communication)
The Chamaxi language is heavy on pitch-accents, nasal and fricative vocalizations, and some form of electromagnetic signalling. They had a technic, literate culture, and used gravitics-based communications due to the interference radio caused to their natural EM communication methods.

A world disaster overcame the Chamaxi around 700 Imperial. The civilization was destroyed; survivors fled aboard automated slow-NAFAL ships, presumably to worlds in adjacent hexes.
The first visit by Imperial citizens was around 1105. A survey team from MagnetoDynamics landed to survey the forgotten ruins on the planetary surface; two of the party survived.
