A Jump Reef is an area of jump space that constitutes a spacetime anomaly.
- It is also known as a Jumpspace Reef
Description (Specifications)[edit]
It has the following observable effects:
- Greater chance of jump drive failure and misjump
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
This Astrographic Phenomenon, like many other anomalies, is poorly understood.
Known and Suspected Reefs[edit]
The Great Reef of Touchstone Sector is an example of this phenomenon.
It is suspected that The Borderland Subsector of Trojan Reach Sector may contain a jump reef.
The Ruthless Veil and Darkly Veiled sectors contain a number of known time-space anomalies, including jump reefs.
The Hoydell's Chaos anomaly in Darkly Veiled and coreward Kruse Sector has features of a Jump Reef, as well as those of a jump shoal.
