* Overall this combination has good synergy with each other, covering up each other's weaknessess - for example, Jack Personal Armor and Mesh Personal Armor protect against melee; Flak Jacket against bullets; reflec against energy weapons; Cloth Personal Armor, Vacc Suit and hostile environment vacc suit protect against pretty much everything, but is not exceptional in any damage type. Of course, you then add the main armor. I wonder what numerical stats all these armors have. --95.71.73.133 08:29, 28 December 2023 (EST)

What armor types are stackable?[edit]

The weight of personal armor and clothing is assumed to be part of the character's clothing load and is not affected by the weight rule. Only one form of personal armor may be worn, with clearly written exceptions like armor pieces what can be always worn under the clothing or armor (like reflec and neural shield) [1], and armor what is the armored clothes themselves or take no more space than clothes would do (variants of cloth personal armor, vacc suit TL13+, hostile environment vacc suit TL12+).

There are some armor types what are in some kind of "in-between" zone - they seem to "take no more space than clothes would do", but are not "clearly written". Let's see them: --109.62.244.201 11:05, 21 December 2023 (EST)

  • For comparison, Cloth Personal Armor has 4.5 liters and 2KG.
    • Flak Jacket - 2.5 liters, 2KG. "ballistic cloth fashioned into a protective covering to guard the torso" - it seems like it can be worn under main armor, making Flak Jacket some kind of concealed armor.
    • Jack Personal Armor - 4 liters, 1KG. "natural or synthetic leather jacket or body suit covering the torso and upper arms and legs" - sounds like it's indeed just very tough clothing. Can wear under armor.
    • Mesh Personal Armor - 4 liters, 2KG. "jacket or body suit made of natural or synthetic leather and reinforced with a lining of flexible metal mesh, similar to chain mail but lighter and stronger.". It seems like you can wear it under armor: even chain mail, despite being a lot heavier and bulkier than Mesh Armor, was historically used under main armor (for example, under plate armor).

So, turns out these three armor can be worn under main armor. --109.62.244.201 11:05, 21 December 2023 (EST)

Many Protective Equipment also has size small enough to be worn under main armor. --109.62.244.201 11:05, 21 December 2023 (EST)
