• It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
• It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Dalesabandagh Subsector of Far Frontiers Sector.

• This world supports a nearby Naval Base.

History & Background (Dossier)

Circa -2360, politics in the region of Raletela were tense. Jealous of some worlds' independence while their own systems had accepted client status with the Zhodani Consulate, disgruntled factions began targeting worlds left outside the Zhodani sphere, e.g. Yereng and U'kihr. Using Raletela as well as other new clients Thapek and Zeyiri as bases, the Zhodani cracked down on the region and put a stop to the attacks.

Ralatela was a Zhodani client for three millennia, but eventually suffered revolution against its governing council, which fell in 798. Its client status was immediately revoked. The world fell into self-destructive civil wars, and remained without a world government for the next few centuries.
