1476 - The Confluence of Timelines

The middle of this century marks a Confluence of Timelines: a time when alternate timelines meet back with the OTU, however briefly.

Resolution of the OTU

By 1476, defining events in the various timelines have resolved themselves, but more importantly have wiped out recorded history, leaving legend and myth in its wake. As a result, alternate timelines now freely mingle with the OTU. Some people suspect meddling in Reality by Yaskoydray to bring this about.

The Imperium Eternal might merge with the OTU earlier; however, 1476 is the point where the last elements of the Fourth Imperium merge with OTU history, allowing the timelines to converge.

• The Rebellion has long been forgotten, subsumed under general upheavals of the past.

• Virus has devolved. Originally a rampaging destructive force, by this time it is simply a TL16 capability of ship computers to house a type of NPC -- the Artificial Intelligence. Its existence is not guaranteed to be pervasive. To someone living in 1476, Virus was a story invented to explain how AI first emerged in technic interstellar culture.

• The Wave has exited Charted Space. Its resulting effects have run their course long ago, and is merely symbolic of past catastrophes.

The Golden Imperium

The Imperium Eternal / Lorenverse meets the OTU after Virus has evolved into simple AI, and after the Wave has passed into the category of catastrophic myth or legend.

The Fourth Imperium

The Fourth Imperium meets the OTU here. Most chronologies place the end of the Fourth Imperium in 1476, when Plinnenesh was forced to abdicate to the Taash warlord Shginmos, and the last remnants of the Fourth Imperium faded from memory.
