Cargo Boxes are the standardised transport containers of the New Earth System.

The key design requirement is that the boxes should fit into standard Cargo Containers with minimum wasted space.

Code Dimensions dTons (Approx)
A500 2,800mm x 1,400mm x 1,400mm 1/2
A250 1,400mm x 1,400mm x 1,400mm 1/4
A125 1,400mm x 1,400mm x 700mm 1/8
A60 1,400mm x 700mm x 700mm 1/16
A30 700mm x 700mm x 700mm 1/32
A15 700mm x 700mm x 350mm 1/64
A7 700mm x 350mm x 350mm 1/128
A3 350mm x 350mm x 350mm 1/256
B30 1,400mm x 700mm x 350mm 1/32
B15 1,400mm x 350mm x 350mm 1/64

n.b. It is extremely unusual for Cargo Boxes to be capable of providing non-ambient environmental conditions.

Note that the standard high-class ticket defines the baggage allowance as two A500 cases or equivalent; the standard mid-class ticket as a single A125 case and the low-class ticket's allowance as a single A15 case.
