Ship Furnishings come in a vast array of styles and types, some specifically suited to certain sophont physiologies.

Description (Specifications)[edit]
Interior fittings: Deck plans typically show various furnishings and fittings which appear within the ship.[1] Furniture hinders movement and may, in some instances, blocks sighting and weapon fire as well.[2]
Furnishings: Tables, chairs, cabinets and other furnishings are shown on the plans. Beds may be single, single bunked, or double; this is established in the cabin descriptions. The exact nature of a specific cabin's furnishings will be in a large measure determined by the ship architect (...or the sophont using the cabin).[3]
Many standard ship stateroom or cabin models have a variety of layouts suited to different sophont body and environment types. Many contemporary liners are built to use modular stateroom sections to accommodate various passengers. Smaller liners may not be able to offer these luxuries, but almost all larger liners, especially luxury models, will be able to accommodate a variety of sophont sizes, body morphologies, environmental preferences, and a variety of other factors.[4]
