The Empire was a defunct state of Far Home Sector with its capital at Leset (2511 Far Home).
Description / Specifications
It emerged around 5050AD, at the end of the Golden Age, growing from the ancestral estates and holdings of the Verminac family. The Verminacs are powerful “Fives” originating on Tal Varisa and the self-declared Suzerains of their own personal interstellar state, which they proclaimed to be the Empire. The area claimed by the Verminacs was largely wilderness and no power chose to dispute their claim.
History & Background / Dossier
The early Suzerains poured the extensive resources of their family into developing their new domain. They established and upgraded facilities, began large-scale agriculture, built towns and industries, and used GenPods to massively increase the population. The final years of the Empire were tumultuous, with social upheavals revolving around privilege and fealty, the gulf between Fives and Gens and the heavy-handed attitude of the authorities. Violent, coordinated uprisings in 5476AD initiated a revolution and finally collapsed the state. The Empire fractured into the League of Krayal and the Protectorate in 5477AD. The last ruling Suzerain, Raoul Pedro II Verminac, fled into permanent exile on Tal Varisa.
