They established and upgraded facilities, began large-scale agriculture, built towns and industries, and used GenPods to massively increase the population. The final years of the Empire were tumultuous, with social upheavals revolving around privilege and fealty and the heavy-handed attitude of the authorities. Violent, coordinated uprisings in 5476AD initiated a revolution and finally collapsed the state. The Empire fractured into the [[League of Krayal]] and the [[Protectorate]] in 5477AD. The last ruling Suzerain, Raoul Pedro II Verminac, fled into permanent exile on Tal Varisa.
