  • As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.

History & Background (Dossier)

Outsaerrghfars (Knoellighz 2909) E110315-8 De Lo Ni is a small, forgotten dust-ball of a world featuring only a corporate-held environment dome housing roughly 5000 Vargr. Originally meant as a stepping stone system to Coreward interests, Outsaerrghfars has become neglected as business was re-routed to Spinward as the Charismatic Great of the subsector drew more attention, business and security along its Jump-1 main. Since then, this mainworld has seen little other than the occasional or monthly resupply vessel meant to keep the landing field open in case the subsector route need be taken. The neglect of the original, token D-rated Downport has eroded it to E. Faded signs advertising the crossroads importance of Outsaerrghfars are relics of this world’s first survey before the Democracy of Greats passed to Spinward and Coreward in their conquest. As of 1105, only the corporation of Thaeghz Hvaek Engnigharr (tr: Pack Pact to Success), T.H.E. Corp or [THE] has provided minimal support of the oasis. The backroads of this world sees little trade other than as a pipeline for a chain of Corsair Bases engaged in slaving and raiding of ignored worlds of this subsector.

Outsaerrghfars system has no planetoid belts to draw Prospectors and is largely barren of mining attention on the mainworld due to cost of maintaining such operations. The third of three Gas Giants is home to a Corsair Base that is mainly used as a transfer point to other Corsair Bases in the subsector. Refueling at the outermost Gas Giant incurs an increased chance of piracy. This backroads route is ideal for the underworld slave trade in Ourdzoeg Subsector.

The system’s solar primary is busy consuming the local White Dwarf star and both refuse to acknowledge the mainworld and three Gas Giants. The pair are nicknamed “The Dancers” as the two bodies affect each other’s rotation slightly.

Corporate government is a running joke on Outsaerrghfars. Law is barely mentioned since weapons are carried openly on one’s hip holster. The most enforcement of the law is upheld backwardly by the Corsairs who drop in for a quick refreshment or to have hushed planning huddles. Since the space piracy is so focused on world raiding, Outsaerrghfars suffers only visits by Corsairs who extort protection money from the local Downport as there is little Naval presence other than quarterly patrols.
