[[Campaign:NHNE/Places/Threefield|Threefield]] was a settlement in [[Campaign:NHNE/Governments/Walthersland|Walthersland]] that was the first to plant potatoes - and their first season was an incredible success to the extent that they became so abundant that the entire [[Campaign:NHNE/Worlds/New Earth|New Earth]] colony was eating potatoes with every meal for weeks. Indeed they were forced to dump over half the crop for lack of takers. The area around [[Campaign:NHNE/Places/Threefield|Threefield]] is still populated with potato plants, and they are still famous for their crop.

This supply of potatoes saw their staple food becoming the "[[Campaign:NHNE/General/Threefield Waffles|Threefield Waffle]]". Initially manufactured in local houses, an enterprising individual deep-froze them in an old cryochamber and shipped them about the globe - the foundation of the [[Campaign:NHNE/Corporations/W-Foods|W-Foods]] brand.
