Description (Specifications)[edit]
One of the most advanced and abundant military forces to ever exist in the galaxy. Including the sectors colonized by the core expeditions Zhodani forces hold sway over vast amounts of worlds. They benefit from a unique unity of vision and mission made possible by the stability of Zhodani civilization over the centuries. Incredibly effective Zhodani military planners know there is no defeat, only victory not yet realized. They know that no enemy can withstand them once they put their minds to the task of conquest.
Mission (Goals)[edit]
The security and well being of all Zhodani citizens is their ultimate goal.
Doctrine & Strategy (Operations)[edit]
Colonial forces are used whenever possible. Main fleet elements move resources into position when needed. Offensive operations are planned out decades in advance. Hidden bases are established, spies inserted, deep cover operatives who may not even consciously know their are working for the Zhodani until activately remotely. These are often children raised in plain sight. Only careful timing and patience allows them to activate the right asset at the right moment to gain the critical advantage when needed in battle. Troops are supported with a reliable series, of continually updated, warbots. Elite formations of psionic troops and psionic officers give their forces critical advantages and capabilities. Even wearing psionic shielding can not fully thwart the advantages their powers grant them. Guerrilla units are raised and/or inserted and terrorist cells are used to disrupt enemy formations and to tie up enemy military assets.
Rank & Grade (Hierarchy)[edit]

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Until encountering the imperial forces Zhodani forces had known defeat, but always eventual victory against other opponents, human and alien alike. They realize the size of their opponent will require a more subtle patient approach. Many Zhodani planners realize they may just need to out wait their enemy and allow them to crumble from within. In any event, total victory will surely be theirs.
TO&E (Organization)[edit]
Groupments and squadrons of troops are used to garrison and occupy worlds. They deploy their lowest tech level forces to secure their weakest targets and reserve their most advanced forces to tackle harder targets. Once plans are made units strike incredibly quickly with multiple simultaneous attacks, ambushes and traps being sprung. Chaos and enemy confusion are one of their favorite force multipliers. They work to sow mistrust and dissent in formerly stable civilian populations far from the front lines to disrupt manufacturing, trade and leave enemy units without logistical support. An enemy who starves to death leaves one less to kill on the battlefield. Consular Guards, Lift rifle formations and commando battalions drop in and teleport in respectively to overwhelm enemy formations, especially static defensive forces which are their preferred prey. They excel in rapid assault tactics combined with feints and misdirection. Secure telepathic communication ensures their is no fog of war for their commanders. Once initial fluid operations arrive on target, slower more deliberate follow on units mass. Grav armor units tend to feature larger numbers of vehicles than commiserate imperial formations. These units are designed to absorb loses and keep going to rapidly seize and hold vital beach head objectives for secure landings as their perimeter expands. Fast war bot patrols secure mustering points and heavily armed and agile attack speeders provide close air cover.
