The Timer Club of Terra was one of the more famous timer clubs.

The idea behind the club is as old as the cold sleep technology; take a group of people and pass several decades or centuries, then awaken in a new world.

History & Background (Dossier)

It started before first contact with the Vilani (cold sleep technology having been developed and used for STL colonization of various worlds, including Prometheus). The last of the original members died at some point during the Long Night.
