The Terrak is a carnivorous pouncer fur bearing mammal.

Description / Specifications[edit]

The Terrak is roughly man-sized with large claws and sabre teeth.

Physiology & Ecology[edit]

It is found on Whanga/Regina 1806.

Life Cycle & Reproduction[edit]

It is a solitary beast pairing only for mating. The females bear their young and stay with them for the first year of life.

Diet & Trophics[edit]

Terraks eat anything and everything. They are like billy goats with claws and fangs. The terran equivalent of a polar bear crossed with a hyena. They are apex predators with a trophic designation of 4+. If there are settlements near Terrak male territory the Terrak will hunt within the settled areas with impunity.

History & Background / Dossier[edit]

The Terrak exists in all variations of Whanga.

  • Two mutually incompatible non-canonical versions of Whanga can be found online.
  • The version created by Hans Rancke-Madsen is a current setting for a campaign for the Trouble in the Spinward Marches PBEM.

Derived Products (Goods)[edit]

Terrak fur, skulls and sabre teeth are highly prized trophies for off-world hunters.

Travellers' Aid Society Advisory[edit]

The Travellers' Aid Society (TAS) classifies the Terrak as very threatening to most sophonts and makes a special advisory regarding this creature to avoid it at all costs.
