Talk:Sectors

Why is there this topic and the "Sector" topic? I suggest combining the two.

As per the imperial-centric view of the library information, the "Sector" page is really the Sectors of the Imperium, the same that the Zhodani Consulate page has a list of sectors. Really it should be in the Third Imperium article for consistancy, however it also covers the general description of a Sector as well. Actually I have issue with the whole Sector concept, as it is an imperial measurement, why do the Aslan, Zhodani, K'kree etc. all have their regions identical, even so much as they have their own names for an imperal abstrect construct. Consolidated Sectors List[edit]

I found a copy of the Consolidated Sector List. The names in this list not in our list are primarlly HIWG names to "finish the square". This compromises a square about 12 by 18 sectors or 480 by 576 parsecs. Question was did we want to mark the "non-canon" sector names in the list or just have the sectorst themsevles in the non-canon and HIWG categories? Tjoneslo 19:39, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

I would suggest marking them non-canon, perhaps by putting a * or something to denote this. Dcorrin 13:31, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Imagemap available on Wikia[edit]

The wikia people have just installed an imagemap extension onto all wikia. This mean we should be able to take the charted space image we have in this article and make the sectors all clickable. I'll put this on the special projects page because it will be a lot of work. Tjoneslo 13:07, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

I was thinking of finding a larger scale version of this and cutting the individual sectors and putting the map fragmenton each of the sector pages. Dcorrin 13:21, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Talk to the person in charge of the Traveller map, he's built a google-maps style traveller map and should have access to larger (or sector sized) chunks of the map. Tjoneslo 13:42, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
