Vehicle Notes[edit]

  • Recovery boats act as an ambulance for each platoon and can carry a company clearing station, the shipboard naval doctors and surgeons do the major work. They resupply each platoon with ammo, food and water. They can recover and take equipment back to the parent ship for repair. They provide fire support, ECM and Jamming. The marines need their ships to survive, they are not as autonomous as similar army units with imbedded support.
  • The fighters provide local air superiority; they protect the transports and provide artillery.
  • The 12 man heavy weapons/support platoon has (12) 1 ton, 14m3 walkers w/1 crew each, they are armed with 4cm RAM AGL, 20 tac missiles, a laser rifle, and a 2cm single barreled electric action point defense auto-cannon, these can be fitted into foamed ablative re-entry packs with retro rockets and chutes for planets with atmospheres. Otherwise they have to be brought in 1/boat. The boats can be modified to carry them out at the expense of troop spaces.
  • (9) Remote disposable dropped MRL (100x8cm rockets) provide indirect fire artillery. Each platoon has its own target designator.
  • The Palace Guard has a company of ten Fagad class Laser Grav Tank. It rarely deploys off-world and tends to be a maintenance hog.
