Tjoneslo Comment (August 2011)[edit]

A Far Frontiers sector supplement manuscript detailing the coreward half of the sector was prepared for FASA by Dale L. Kemper, but not published by FASA. Most of the content later appeared in Ares Magazine (Special #2) and the Traveller Chronicle

Hans Rancke Comment (April 2011)[edit]

This sector is the setting of a number of adventures written by the Keith brothers, including the Sky Raiders trilogy.

Notes (2009)[edit]

The information on the information pages attached here do not match the Traveller Map page for this sector.

  • I will proceed to add sector information as seen on that page unless someone can explain the reason why I need to do it differently.

Notes (2007)[edit]

Does anyone know where the information that Afactiabr is the Zhodani name for Far Frontiers comes from? I've just been entering the information about the Vlazhdumecta, and to me the text implies that they originated in one sector (Afactiabr) and spread to other sectors, including Far Frontiers. But maybe I'm just misreading it.

Googling the name Afactibar gives only two hits: Traveller Atlas and James Kunderts site. The latter lists sources as Sky Raiders trilogy © 1981 FASA, in ARES Magazine © 1984 Dale Kemper, and in The Traveller Chronicle © 1994 James Kundert. I have none of these to verify sources, though I know James is still active in the Traveller community.

Afachtiabr is described as a sector in one of the Zhodani Provinces (From Alien Module 1 I believe), and that province includes the Spinward Marches, Foreven, and Yiklerzdanzh which this is in the middle.

Dan is correct, Alien Module 4, Map inside the front cover, gives the name of the sector as Afachtiabr.
