Born Stuart Campbell; oldest son of Prince Steven IV and Princess Maryanne.
The reign of Stuart VII, in retrospect, is something of a calm before the storm. Stuart ruled for 46 years through a period of unprecedented prosperity and relative calm.
He married Anais Rathmaganda in 1064, and had five children.
He used the prosperity to greatly modernize the Navy, including massive upgrades to Caledon's external surveillance system.
He stepped down in 1105, handing the throne to his eldest son, Michael. James, a year younger, served as a staffer and eventually regent (taking over the post in 1070 from their uncle, Harold).
