Second Battle of Jaradin

5345AD. A large naval battle between the Scybrian Polyarchy and the Corolian Jurisdicture fought in the Jaradin system (1010 Halcyon) during the Invasion period of the Scybrian Wars. Scybria had launched the invasion of Jaradin and had landed large numbers of troops on the surface. A powerful Corolian force entered the system and engaged the Polyarchy fleet. The Jurisdicture fielded large numbers of fighters, which, despite appalling losses, were able to engage and destroy most of the Scybrian transport vessels as they attempted to flee. The capital elements of the fleets fought each other to a standstill and eventually disengaged, leaving only light forces and damaged hulks in the system. The Scybrian ground troops found themselves trapped on the surface of the world and began to fortify populated areas, using forced labour to do so. The battle is considered to be the high water mark of the Scybrian Polyarchy.
