Redoubt Program

3450AD–3730AD.

A series of fortified settlements and military compounds built among the wilderness systems of the Hylan Spur during the time of the Third Confederation. They were conceived as a final bastion of Terran Humanity, located in the remotest part of the Distant Fringe proper, in the event of the Vilani arriving in the region. Their construction was likely inspired by the events of the Vilani Scare. None of the systems involved in the Redoubt Program survived the arrival of the Voyagers and the onset of the Dark Age.
