Redoubt Party
The Redoubt Party was a militaristic political organisation within the Second Confederation that took control of the Traditionalist movement and other allied groups during the civil wars.
Description / Specifications[edit]
It was institutionally nepotistic and hierarchical, with ultimate power vested in the Chairman, the head of the Party. It gained popularity with vague promises to the Gens of “living space” – a promise it signally failed to honour – and enjoyed widespread support whilst loyalist armed forces were victorious. It laid blame for all of the Confederation’s problems on “criminal elements”, largely consisting of opponents of the regime, profiteers, and “cowards”.
History & Background / Dossier[edit]
As the cycle of bloody wars and unreliable armistices ground on and internal problems worsened, the Party became increasingly authoritarian, oppressive, and brutal. It finally lost civil control during the Vilani Scare and was implicated in many atrocities carried out during the Dissolution. During the Reformation the leaders of the Redoubt Party were hunted down and held accountable for their actions.
