Queej is a nonindustrial desert hellworld with a population struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.
- Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants. Survivors often form intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.
- This world has no free-standing water.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Goss Subsector of Bourne Sector.

Mother-Queej System[edit]
The primary is an unnamed ordinary red main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.0334 Sols, a mass of 0.4574 Sols, and a diameter of 711,000 km. (I) Mother, a corrosive atmosphere inferno world orbits within the habitable zone: (Ia) Queej is its only satellite and is designated the mainworld. (II) a sparse icy planetoid belt, and (III) a ringed small gas giant form the outer system. All of the worlds retain satellites.
(I) Mother[edit]
(I) Mother is designated an inferno world. It orbits the primary at a mean distance of 0.12 AU (17.9 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 22 days 11 hours: it is tidally locked to the primary. The axial tilt is 16 degrees. Mother has a diameter of 12,544 km, a density of 4.91 g/cm³ and a surface gravity of 0.87 G. Its atmosphere is rated as Corrosive, with a mean surface pressure of 75.4 bar and a composition of 94% carbon dioxide (CO2), 6% nitrogen (N2), and trace amounts of sulfur dioxide (SO2), argon (Ar), water (H2O), carbon monoxide (CO), helium (He), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. The world has no hydrosphere. Mean surface temperature: 197°C. The climate is rated as Inferno and experiences minor major extreme seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is active and strong weather systems driven by convection flow within its upper levels.
Mainworld Data[edit]
(Ia) Queej[edit]
(Ia) Queej is the only major moons of (I) Mother and is designated the mainworld. It orbits its parent world at a mean distance of 12 diameters (150,000 km), with an orbital period of 6 days 22 hours: it is tidally locked to Mother. The axial tilt is 0 degrees relative to Mother. Queej has a diameter of 2,916 km, a density of 3.87 g/cm³ and a surface gravity of 0.16 G. Tidal stresses generated by the gravitational pull of Mother and the star cause regular geological activity. The atmosphere is rated as Thin, Tainted, with a mean surface pressure of 0.23 bar and a composition of 87% nitrogen (N2), 12% oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), carbon dioxide (CO2), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. The taint is caused by the low percentage of atmospheric oxygen and the lack of water vapor in the atmosphere. The world has no hydrosphere. Mean surface temperature: 39°C. The climate is rated as Hot and is static, with no seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is sluggish and weak weather systems driven by the star drift across the globe.

Queej, the mainworld, has primitive native life, consisting entirely of microscopic thermophile cyanobacteria-parallels that thrive in the harsh conditions. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
