Protectorate Legion
The Protectorate uses legions.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Each brigade has its own Chapter Class Battle Transport to move it from its fortress headquarters to where it is needed in the defense of the Protectorate. The legion consists of ten brigades. Each brigade has its own brigadier general. In turn each brigade consists of ten companies. Each company has its own captain. The first company is designed for heavy assault. It has double the normal strength, to absorb casualties and a concentration of heavy weapons. The tenth company is used for new recruits and is used for scouting. Normal companies have ten squads of ten legionnaires. The first company has combat armor, 200 troopers, with TAC missiles, PGMP-12s, and Gauss weapons. Regular companies have 100 troopers, with CES and laser rifles. Garrison companies on lower tech worlds may just have rifles and flak jackets. Elite legions have grav APCs, lower level units may have tracked ATVs. So the typical brigade has (10) 70 ton shuttles, (20) 8 ton G Carriers, (20) 4 ton Air Rafts, (90) 10 ton tracked ATVs. They are all equipped with drop capsules. Troopers on board naval vessels have vacuum suits for protective forces duty.
