Point Ay is a desert world with a shirt-sleeve atmosphere but no free-standing water. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Zeng Subsector of Deneb Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Point Ay, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and a baronet. Both are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel.

The IISS base here is part of a cordon of security around Pashus, protecting Research Station Zeta.

Point Ay has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
