Onoxyl Hegemony

A multi-system polity in K'trekreer Sector, and a sub-polity of the Hive Federation.

Description

The Hivers of Onoxyl, making contact with their neighbours in Uakmotra Irkan Subsector, used food supply to establish a correct parenting relationship with these alien cultures. The most prominent civilisation of Uakmotra Irkan -- the planet Anukarn and its colonies -- is high-population and dependent on outside trade to feed its people. The Irkan race also requires such support, though to a lesser degree. With dependency on food shipments and yield-increasing farming techniques comes susceptibility to manipulation. Further, it reduces the likelihood of these populations annexing productive Hiver-claimed worlds. Hence, at some point, local Hivers established a series of cooperatives and clubs that consolidated into a recognised cultural region within the Federation.

Multiple contributing species are found here, including Gurvin, Za'tachk, Ithklur, Human, Krotan, Orarnak -- and of course Hiver.
