The star Nusakan (otherwise known as Beta Coronae Borealis) is a binary system composed of a bluish-white main sequence star of spectral type A5 orbited by a smaller white main sequence star of spectral type F2.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

Nusakan is a binary system whose components orbit one another in an eccentric orbit of (e=0.524) with a period of about 10.25 years.

  • The Nusakan star system is approximately 34.3pc from Terra, and is located in a Coreward/Corespinward direction from Terra at bearing 045.6o Galactic Longitude and +55.6o North Galactic Latitude.

(Non-Canonical): Though it has a similar name, Nusakan is NOT the primary star of the world Nusakan/Sastanna (Leonidae 1106).
