Ngekhs
A Vargr of the line of Soegz and Archduke of Antares.
Description (Biography & Character)[edit]
10th Archduke of the House of Soegz Archdukes of Antares.
Some transcribe his name (difficult for humans) as "Ngaez".[3]
History[edit]
Archduke Ngehks of Antares was most notable for visibly abandoning the last Gvegh traditions of his line, embracing the Ovaghoun language and culture most common in the trailing regions of the Imperium. This made him very popular with his Vargr subjects. It even improved his status among the domain's Humans; most of them were of Vilani descent and more comfortable with the Vilani-influenced Ovaghoun than with the "wild" Gvegh. Aside from this expression of cultural sensitivity, Ngehks was a mediocre Archduke; he accomplished little during his reign.[2]
Ngehks passed away late in 1100 after falling terminally ill. Upon hearing word of his father's condition, Brzk resigned his Navy commission and returned to Antares in time to see his father one last time. Upon Ngehks' death, he was succeeded by Brzk as the next Archduke of Antares.[4]
