Mmoannikh Accords
An historic legal agreement between representatives of Logaksu Vargr and Ovaghoun Vargr societies, signed in -55.
Conflict between these two cultural blocs was often based in part around claims of precedence. The Vilani-influenced Ovaghoun placed great emphasis on doing things in defined, traditional ways (at least to the extent that Vargr are ever truly stable); as Logaksu were changeable and innovative, they were viewed as inherent inferiors, and yet being the Vargr culture based around the original homeworld, they had a claim to better connections with the Revered Ancestors. A series of Logaksu-Ovaghoun wars between about -110 and -70 were as hard-fought in terms of propaganda and cultural posturing as they were by force. In the end, the Mmoannikh Accords were drafted by the more powerful Logaksu packs and the local Ovaghoun and their Vilani allies. In -55 on Lair, the Logaksu and Ovaghoun cultures were officially declared 'separate but equal' ways of life, and the Logaksu were declared "as much the rightful descendants of the Revered Ancestors" as the Ovaghoun themselves; this also had the effect of giving Logaksu full protection of Ovaghoun law.
Note that the Mmoannikh Accords were rejected by the central Ikonaz government, leading to a shattering of the unity of the Ovaghoun.
