Leopold 4T class Grav Tank
Designed and manufactured at TL–11, these vehicles were license built for the High Senate at Denirad (world), along the Distant Fringe. The vehicle has a crew of three: driver, gunner and commander. These probably date from models used during the Scybrian Wars.

High Senate 4T Grav Tank, TL 11[edit]
The vehicle's crystaliron armor sheaths the chassis to levels of protection equivalent or superior to starship hull metal. This design is sealed with life support for the crew in vacuum and protected forces roles. It features heavy frontal armor on the radically slope chassis front, proof against most current weapon systems. Traditionally deployed in companies of ten tanks with 30 crew, support units are concentrated at higher levels. One of the fundamental trade offs in the design was the decision to put a 20MW custom plasma cannon into a stabilized turret on the vehicle's deck. A huge power plant is installed at great expense, unlike most fringe war machines the weapons is assumed to be fully powered at all times, the grav modules were reduced to accommodate fuel and minor weapon systems. Their is a remote turret over the commander's hatch on the turret deck. It is fitted with a laser rifle for target designation and a 4cm RAM AGL for suppressing softer targets. The TAC missiles appear as an expensive afterthought and their range is limited. They require a great deal of maintenance to keep operational and crews complain that the gun's penetration is insufficient to kill all enemy tank models. They must attempt to flank units to score killing strikes.
Chassis:[edit]
- Height: 2m (+1m turret); Width: 4m; Length: 7m.
- Total usable volume: 56m³
- Total mass loaded: 269 metric tons
- Hull Material: Crystaliron
- Armor: Turret front 58, chassis front 66, turret and chassis sides 50, turret and chassis rear, belly and deck 42.
- Target Size DMs: +2 low, +1 high hits
- Production Cost: Cr4,859,562.6
Movement:[edit]
The Grav Tank has 1.3791821 maneuver Gs. NOP flight is limited by available TL–11 avionics, and not the 640 tons of thrust.
- Speed:
- Maximum, 1,569kph / 1,307cm; Cruise, 1,176kph / 980cm, NOP 150kph/125cm.
- Movement effect on fire: None
Weapons:[edit]
Full weapons stabilization.
Turret Mounted Plasma Cannon[edit]
This powerful plasma cannon has a 20 MW input, and a 4.8 MW output. It is an custom design and is fitted with TL–11 direct fire control. The weapon has some burst radius in addition to impact penetration for greater area effect against adjacent targets at short and medium ranges. It can engage a single target per firing phase and is automatically spotted when it fires. It is an attempt to keep pace with more advanced fusion guns deployed on more sophisticated enemy tanks.
Effective Range | Long Range | Extreme Range |
2.19km (56)/30m(40) | 4.38km (44)/20m(28) | 8km (17)/10m(1) |
Remote Weapons Mount[edit]
There is a laser rifle mounted with the 4cm RAM AGL on the top of the turret, which can be used for target designation. It has a 100 shot battery.
Effective Range | Long Range | Extreme Range |
180 m (9) | 360 m (4) | 1,800 m (1) |
The automatic 4cm RAM grenade launcher comes with 1,600x HEAP (36) grenades. It can engage 2 targets and has a +2 signature.
Effective Range | Long Range | Extreme Range |
370 m | 750 m | 1,500 m |
TAC Missiles[edit]
There are twenty 20.7987kg capacity launch rails in a pod on the side of the turret. They use a 17cm HEAP 50 warhead or a HE 28/4/5 warhead and both have a 5.5km range. It takes a single crew member to manually reload these missiles externally if additional rounds are available. The homing missiles struggle to achieve intercepts against vehicles protected with advanced ECM abilities. Twenty HEAP 50 homing missiles are included in the price.
Type | Range | Price |
Homing HEAP 50 | 5.5km | Cr339.7987 |
Homing HE 28/4/5 | 5.5km | Cr331.7987 |

IR Follow Up HEAP +8 | 5.5km | Cr439.7987 |
Power / Equipment:[edit]
- Power: a 84 megawatt fusion power plant
- consumes 126 liters of fuel/ hour; fuel capacity 3,083.6 liters, enough for 24.4 hours.
- Sealed environment with extended life support for 3 crew (proof against CBR/NBC threats);
- laser sensor 5+ to detect linked to 100 bottles of prismatic aerosols
- extensive ECM
- map box
