Native Lifeforms[edit]
The gas giant Ardell is noted for its unusual lifeforms, said to include "carnivorous clouds". Others resemble huge, amorphous jellyfish.

As of 1105, this system is of little interest.
New Era[edit]
Until the Collapse, this system was generally uninhabited, though Aslan research stations were at times constructed here.
Ki Khtite is a Khai' listening post maintained here in the 12th Century Imperial, to provide advance warning of Vampire fleets. To its assigned personnel, it is no better than an exile camp. Boredom and the system's unappealing nature (thanks to frequent solar storms and position on the Great Reef) make this place the most unappealing duty in the entire Aslan Hierate. Vampires that pass through the system, when they come at all, are usually the most dilapidated and the least sane of Viruses, rarely providing a challenge to the local defense forces. More and more of the base personnel are those who have committed crimes of passion or property, that come or are assigned here to work off their crimes.
