Iz

A variety of tree native to Izyme, and giving that world its name (which means something akin to "Forest of Iz").

The Lithkind of Izyme evolved in the branches of Iz on their planet's southern landmasses.

About 2% of Lithkind still dwell in traditional Iz trees, mainly in rural areas of Izyme. A tenth of an Iz can be hollowed out, giving some 5,000 cubic feet of living space without harm to the tree. 5 to 10 separate rooms can be constructed in the outer trunk. Elsewhere, Iz branches support Lithkind houses, either made of traditional wood and paper or fiberglass and light alloys.
