Hinterworlds Sector was designed by Marc W. Miller and appears in Classic Traveller Atlas of the Imperium (GDW, 1984).

1. In 1984, Atlas of the Imperium was published.
2. In 1984, Classic Traveller Secret of the Ancients was published.
3. In 1988, Referee's Companion was published.
4. In 1989, it was further refined by Rob Caswell and Karl Johnson and appeared in Challenge Magazine in issue #39.
5. In 1990, MegaTraveller Alien - Vilani & Vargr was published.
6. In 1991, the periodical Challenge Magazine, issue #48 was published.
7. In 1991, the periodical Challenge Magazine, issue #52 was published.
8. In 1991, MegaTraveller Alien - Solomani & Aslan was published.
9. In 2010, Mongoose Traveller: Secret of the Ancients was published.
