Gukhemuuka supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. Government control of this world is by an external military force. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Argi Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Gukhemuuka, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Gaki Is.

History and Background

Gukhemuuka had been colonised continually from midway through the First Imperium until the -530s when the last settlement was wiped out, apparently by disease. The planet, due in large part to its lack of resources, then remained uncolonised until 1106 when the Free University of Ushra set up a small research colony to excavate the sites. They are currently examining the ruins of a First Imperium settlement that were only recently discovered.

World Starport (St)

Gukhemuuka has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
