Greatlake is a barren water world with no overt population, government, or law level.
- Its surface is 90% or more covered in an ocean of water.
- Any inhabitants of this world would need to live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
- This world could be populated if anyone had an inclination to do so...
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Oheaaye'eal Subsector of Touchstone Sector.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
History and Background[edit]
Greatlake, the mainworld in what the Aslan call Oheaaye'eal, was presumably named because it is a water world. It is, however, uninhabited; the system's small human population dwells on a station orbiting the innermost gas giant. This station is very old and was built by an unknown species who left behind automated systems that still mostly work. Although the station is in decay, it can still support a population in the tens of thousands.
New Era: 12th Century Imperial[edit]
Greatlake is the most remote Quarantine outpost in all of charted space. It takes, by way of small calibration points, six weeks for a ship to reach the system. The base is mostly a jump-off point for Aslan clans entering their lost territories for whatever business they deem necessary for their interests, from relic recovery to attacks on Viral bases. Given its sensitive location and mission, personnel assigned to the base are required to be of impeccable honor and undying loyalty to their clans and the Hierate. RQS exchange personnel who have visited the place are circumspect in retelling their experiences, only describing the world as "voodoo."
