Forine Expeditionary Force

A relatively short lived military organization serving the Forine Assembly.

With about 100,000 troops total at any one time, considerable fleet transport assets were required to move the entire formation at one time.

At its height it consisted of a corps of four divisions with a bewildering assortment of supporting units.

• Among them, a cavalry brigade filled with squadrons of light grav tanks, air rafts, grav cycles and speeders was included in each division.
• Within each division there were battalions specified as all volunteer (shock troops), or garrison (reserve militia or recruits).
• Those garrison units included militia artillery batteries, which were used to support the light infantry battalions.
• There were thirteen mechanized battalions, five pioneer (combat engineers) battalions.
• Each offensive infantry battalion had one heavy artillery battery assigned.
• Those batteries used fast and accurate self propelled mass driven gun systems.
• The garrison units had more static towed mortar systems to save money.
• Each infantry battalion included its own ambulance, medical, surgical, and dental services.
• Some battalions were not intended for front line duty and were used for service and support.
• These included specialists in diverse fields like tunneling, mining, forestry, transportation, resources management and manufacturing labor teams.
• This was intended to facilitate rapid economic exploitation while the conditions remained favorable.
