Description

Terran Cereals

These plants are staples throughout the Imperium having been spread during the Rule of Man and subsequently. They are generally not suitable for Worlds with type M Stars - unless grown under lights. These plants are wind-fertilised and thus need at least a thin atmosphere to thrive, and fertilise best out-doors. They require a CO₂ component in the atmosphere.

Terran Pseudocereals

These plants are found throughout the Imperium. However, the reliance on insect or other flying pollinators limits their distribution to Thin to Dense atmospheres with no taint, or taints that are compatible with their pollinator. They also have very specific water requirements. They require a CO₂ component in the atmosphere.

Terran Root-Vegetable Staples

These are mostly propagated from tubers or stems and thus fertilisation is not an immediate problem, but becomes so over the very long term because of disease issues.
