Delsun Ranger Force

The three Scout Bases found in the Delsun Comagistrant region are more properly termed ranger stations. There is a single Naval Base which is the headquarters for offensive ranger operations. The rangers encompass scout, combat, and ground military into one larger serivce. The ranger force has four composite squadrons.

The rangers have protected forces training, and can use vacc suits, ablat, laser rifles, carbines and pistols. They have TAC missiles, mortars, and remotely dropped 100 rocket, 8cm MRLS but are light on vehicles. A few rangers have access to imported thermal vision and chameleon technology and have earned a reputation as deadly snipers. They are skilled in survival, first aid, forward observation and recon. Most vehicles tend to be light grav vehicles with door guns for the exuberant passengers. For planets with atmospheres they use helicopters and VTOL aircraft for rapid insertions and extractions. There are a few large cargo planes for HALO jumps and resupply.

The planet Cormmom (Banners 1235 C221887-8), supplies most of the troop strength for the Delsun forces. Of their two hundred battalions, only the top percentage qualifies for Ranger duty. Work battalions are brought in for manufacturing and sub-assembly with foreign technical advisors. This covert foreign assistance is the only way to build the "high tech" TL–9 strider class destroyers.

One of the major threats in this region is loose ihatei fleets. The Aslan planets are the only ones in the Banners Sector which have high capacity shipyards and huge invasion-sized armies.
