The Cheaters' Route Subsector is an uninhabited subsector lying between the Vargr Extents and the Solomani Preserve.
- It is sometimes simply known as the Cheaters' Route.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
This sector is named for the "Cheaters' Route", the primary trade route between the Solomani Preserve and the Vargr Extents. The colony fleet that founded the Preserve had originally planned to cut itself off from Charted Space, thus the notion that a trade route would be "cheating", but in the last year of their flight, they befriended the Vargr closest to their escape from the Vargr Extents. Further, the early colony needed some parts it could not manufacture to sustain its early capabilities - and there was a ready market for the anagathics the Preserve soon found on Anagathica.
Jump-3 is required to traverse this route, as well as knowledge of the location of VoidBridge 1 (and VoidBridge 2, but this can be acquired on Havensmith).

Astrographic Features & Trade Routes: 1105[edit]
The Cheaters' Route is formally defined by the Solomani Preserve, in reflection of the popular informal definition, as stretching from Ksoekhtse to Bath. Traders from the Vargr Extents usually go no further than Havensmith, but it is also an immigration route for Vargr moving to the Solomani Preserve, often (as of 1105) to get away from worlds that have recently been or are soon to be hit by the Empress Wave.
