History

Afro-Pacific Orbital Complex formed from the Pan-Africa (used as a dormitory) and the グレートアドベンチャー {Gurētoadobenchā or Great-Adventure} (used as the main warehouse and flight operations station) during the initial landings on New Earth. Following the split of the Fleet from the Downers, the station became, in effect, a self-governing state and has remained so ever since.

The station maintained two of the seed banks that came from Earth. This control, together with much of the genetic-engineering technologies, allowed the station to maintain an independence and importance to New Earth far beyond its population. It is for this reason that this orbital complex is listed as a World not just a place in orbit about New Earth. By the time the labs were eventually replicated on the surface, however, the station had expanded to become a powerhouse of micro-G engineering and trade warehousing near to the main markets on the most populous planet.
