A component of the Belter Navy maintained by Siwan Station
Description[edit]
A force of 6 squadrons of warships and almost double that of significant armed merchants plus the equivalent of two battalions of troops, including the elite Siwan Special Boarding Force.
The Guard is commanded by the Guard Captain who is a Naval Captain of the Belter Navy. Two Guard Captains have gone on to become Fleet Admirals of the Belter Navy. (Adm. Bhattacharya and Adm. Dewar).
Manning Policy[edit]
The Siwan Space Guard is maned both by the residents of Siwan Station (about 12% of the station residents are in the Guard) and the many small asteroid settlements that are aligned to the Station politically.

Politics[edit]
The Siwan Space Guard has consistently supported governments that have protected belter trade. As a consequence, the guard itself is a political factor in the belt. It is a consistent opponent of the Dark Star Group and of the anarchic elements that roam the belt's trackless wastes preying on shipping.
