The General Purpose Shot Gun is a standard weapon utilised by the police and armed forces across the New Earth System. Versions of this weapon exist from the ships of The Fleet - and most current models are derived from these weapons.
Standard weapons have 6-shot tube magazines.
General Purpose Shot Guns are in used by law-enforcement and military units and are favourite weapons for building clearance or shipboard actions. Weapons intended for such actions are often manufactured without the stocks supplied for more conventional uses, making the weapons handier in small spaces but harder to control.
When the weapon is manufactured without a stock, it is 50cm long. It may be provided with a detachable stock. Stocks often include a tool kit for the cleaning and basic maintenance of the weapon.
