Bright Conclave class APC

Jump to navigation Jump to search

Built on Selasia (world) for the Bright Conclave. These TL–12 Grav APCs are designed to deliver a small squad of troopers to the FEBA. Designers tried to learn from the many of the painful lessons of the Conclave class Grav Tank. Good avionics are provided to preserve NOE speed. The VRF Gauss gun is intended to suppress enemy infantry, and the weapon mix is stabilized, but requires no expensive fire control systems. A more standard sized fusion power plant was selected to lower costs, while still preserving speed. No energy weapons are typically fitted on the troop carrying version.

Bright Conclave Grav APC, TL 12[edit]

The vehicle has a crew of three (driver, gunner and commander) and carries a squad of seven troopers. It mounts a VRF Gauss gun and a laser rifle in a fully stabilized rotating turret on the chassis deck. The sensors and communications are considered good with excellent range which permits satellite uplinks while on the move. The TAC missiles allow it to engage light and fast vehicles at a distance thanks to the 50km range of its sensors.

Dorsal Turret[edit]

Primary Weapons The dorsal turret mounts a VRF Gauss Gun to contend with infantry and light vehicles.

Direct Fire Characteristics: VRF Gauss Gun
Effective Range Long Range Extreme Range
1.5 km (21)+8 3 km (19)+6 4.5 km (17)+3

The main VRF Gauss Gun has storage for 60,000 rounds, enough to allow 46 fire phases of sustained fire. It can engage 16 targets in 15 seconds and has a +4 signature.

Coaxial Mount

Direct Fire Characteristics: TL 9 Laser Rifle
Effective Range Long Range Extreme Range
180m (9) 360m (4) 1,800m (1)

This laser rifle has a 100 shot can also be used to designate targets in a low power mode, for artillery rounds and some of the TAC missiles carried externally on the turret.

There are three remotely operated turrets on the chassis of the vehicle. One on either side, port and starboard and one covers the rear 180 degree firing arcs. Each turret mounts a PGMP-12 for destroying attacking infantry and light vehicles. Each plasma gun is fitted with a 40 shot battery.

(3) Remote Mounts

Direct Fire Characteristics: TL 12 Plasma Guns
Effective Range Long Range Extreme Range
250m (20) 450m (8) 750m (1)

TAC Missile Systems

The Grav APC has ten tactical missile launch rails in weapons pods on the sides of the turret. The 28.0515kg missiles are armed with a light 15cm HEAP (High Explosive Armor Piercing) warhead capable of penetration 48 on hard steel armor. The IR Follow-up missiles add +8 to the penetration. These missiles have better range and penetration than those on the Grav Tank. The missiles are available in long range and hyper velocity interceptor variants.

Direct Fire Characteristics: HEAP Warhead Missiles
Type Range Price
Homing 44km or 34km +10 DM Cr342.0515
Target Designated 44km or 34km +10 DM Cr242.0515
IR Follow-up 44km or 34km +10 DM Cr442.0515

The launch system can carry reloads if space in the cargo bay permits. One crew member is required to manually reload the rails externally. (2) IR Follow-up missiles, (5) Homing and (5) Target designated are included in the price.

Power / Equipment[edit]

Power: 40 megawatt fusion power plant
consumes 60 liters of fuel/ hour; fuel capacity 1,367.296 liters, enough for 22.788266 hours.
