The star Gomeisa (otherwise known as Beta Canis Minoris) is a blue/blue-white main sequence star of spectral classification B8 that belongs to the class of stars known as slowly pulsating B-type stars (SPBe).

The Gomeisa star system lies approximately 49.6pc from Terra, and is located in a Rimward/Rintrailing direction from Terra at bearing 209.5o Galactic Longitude and +11.7o North Galactic Latitude.
