The agricultural use of the marine environment.
Description[edit]
When croplands are found in the marine environment, the local inhabitants are farming the plants of that environment much as they would farm plants on land.
Not to be confused with Aquaculture which is the exploitation of marine animal life and is more akin to pastoral farming, ranching or hunting.
