System Data[edit]

This system is noted for its considerable debris; chunks of ice and rock present navigational hazards. There are no settled planetoid belts, instead the material is dispersed by the orbits of the many dwarf planets and the two gas giants.

There are 23 bodies of significant size in the system, 12 of which qualify as true planets (these include the mainworld, the two gas giants, and nine others).

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

Volcanic "hotspots" on the ocean floor, axial tilt, and permanent oceanic currents create temperature differences across the planet's ocean. Individual Providers find comfort in different temperatures and this can be a catalyst to forming communities.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

All native lifeforms are the creation of the Providers, ever since they were seeded here in prehistoric times.

Gathering raw materials for synthesis is called harvesting, while the release of new life forms is called seeding. There are thousands of "standard" life forms utilized by the Providers -- specialized luminous fungus, edible species, beasts of burden, even swift message carriers with rudimentary psionics. These standard forms are gathered and seeded virtually everywhere. However, every Provider has the ability to modify a given organism to a new or more specialized task.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

This world has also been known as Hydractus and Delta Retigulii-3.

Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]

Airleas, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world.

World Demographics[edit]

  • Human: The official Imperial population is around 300, including the assigned Imperial Knight.
  • Provider: The native sophont species inhabits the world's ocean environment in large numbers; total population is not known accurately.
