The Vrast are from Missions of State, and while they haven't been mentioned elsewhere, I see nothing contradictory.
Interestingly, in some MegaTraveller material set in Massilia Sector (Knightfall, pg 54), there are NPCs (including images) of a very derived Minor Human Race living in Massilia as part of Imperial society. They aren't Geonee, and while they look a little Suerrat there's also a lot that's unique about them. Given that Massilia is right next to Diaspora and the non-Homo sapiens (maybe even non-Homo) origin of the Vrast fits the very distinct looking but still explicitly Human race from those MT materials, I've decided to assume the NPCs in question are Vrast.
